5.0 out of 5 stars Ideal stroller...if you can find a sale!, July 11, 2007

I never thought I needed an umbrella stroller until I tried to go on a car trip with my bulky BOB Revolution jogger. (A wonderful item but just not space effective)! So I went researching for an umbrella/lightweight stroller that consisted of more than just aluminum handles and a sling seat. I found that most strollers in this category, although easy to fold and recently increasingly stylish, none suit a tall person well unless you're willing to spend lots (over $350) of money.
I was lucky to find a decent sale on this Zooper Hula, because it is mid 2007 when I'm writing this and I bought a 2006 model. In my experience:

Cons:

1. Yes, the basket is low and hard to access. But do you really need to put tons of stuff in it? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of a lightweight stroller?
2. Occasionally, the lock that keeps the thing folded will pop open. NOT a big deal if it's sitting in your car, but if it is gate checked, well.... I recommend just...Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good stroller, June 4, 2007

Ok for starters , this is our third stroller for our now 2 yr. old. The first one , a Graco Quatra became way to big, heavy and bulky to manuever. The 2nd a large all terrain in line stroller for running (again too BIG and BULKY). We purchase a 3 row SUV and really needed a smaller stroller to fit in the back . I was also looking for something lighter and easier to lift in and out of the truck.
I came across the Zooper brands and noticed they were considerably lighter than others yet, still offering the fully reclining seat, fully canopy and some neat accesories. It arrived very promptly and was a breeze to put together. My 2 yr. old fits just fine and it's VERY lightweight . The adjustable handles are great for us, my husband is tall and I'm short. It takes all of 2 seconds to break down and toss it away. It's easy to wipe off and clean. We just returned from a lonnggg international trip and it was a breeze breaking down at the gate to board our plane.

If there are...Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Not typical of Zooper quality!, July 16, 2007

I own the Zooper Boogie jogging stroller, and the Zooper Peas and Carrots highchair. I have been pleased with the quality and function of their products. The Hula stroller is not at all what I thought it would be. It is heavy, hard to open and close, the front wheels swivel after folding if you don't lock them, and the plastic "latch" meant to keep the stroller in a closed position is a joke. Also the seat recline does not sit upright enough, and the storage basket is useless once the child is sitting in the seat. I would not recommend the Hula!
