5.0 out of 5 stars The Perfect Stroller, May 1, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
For the first few months after my daughter was born I used the Snugrider infant car seat stroller frame. This worked great and I recommend it to everyone (don't waste your money or your trunk space with a clunky travel system) It was so nice to simply move my sleeping baby around in her car seat and not wake her. But once she hit 4 months old I realized that she was just too heavy to be lugging around in a car seat. Plus, she was really starting to dislike her infant seat and would rather be sitting up and looking around. So the search for the perfect stroller began.

I looked at what seemed like hundreds of strollers both in stores and online. Most were cheap, clunky, heavy or just plain ugly. I narrowed it down to a few contenders including:

-City Mini by Baby Jogger. Loved it but it was a little heavy and the seat doesn't have a really upright position (my daughter likes to sit very upright). It was also fairly wide and I was afraid it might be hard to get...Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars The perfect travel stroller without losing beloved necessities., January 24, 2010
By

Everyone has needs that need to be met when choosing a stroller. One's must-have features are not necessarily someone else's. Here are mine and these are the reasons I purchased the Peg Perego Si stroller:

1) Handlebar adjustability. My husband is almost a foot taller than me so this feature is a necessity for either of us to participate in pushing our little one.

2) Lightweight. I must be able to load the folded stroller with one hand into the car trunk.

3) One-hand fold. I need to be able to fold the stroller in 5 seconds or less, with one hand and stand upright (see #4).

4) Must stand when folded. We travel quite a bit with different climates and terrains. In and out of subways and buses, wheeling in and out of airport terminals. For such a price, I shouldn't have to bend to pick up or try to look for a spot to lean the stroller against. We've folded this stroller with snow, rain and mud on the ground and our stroller...Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Surprised - I Love It So Far, May 1, 2010

Saabgrrl (Charlotte, NC) - See all my reviews
My husband and I have been looking for a stroller since I was pregnant. My baby is now going on 6 months old and we finally decided today to buy the Peg Perego Si. I wanted ONE stroller to do everything, but honestly I don't think that's possible. We seriously considered the Bumbleride Indie and the Quinny Buzz, but realized they were just out of our price range at the end of the day. So then we narrowed it down to the Baby Jogger City Mini and the Peg Perego Vela.

However today the salesman convinced us the Si was the way to go. In the end, it had the features I required: lightweight, something for everyday, something that'll fit in our small trunk, nice-sized basket, comfortable seat for LO (really important!), adjustable handles for my 6'5" hubby (he doesn't kick the wheels) and came standard ; with a cupholder and "baby bar" (or whatever that bar is called). It's easy to fold and open too; and the canopy is HUGE (love it!). We tested it out today going shopping and...Read more
