Summary: My favorite stroller 2004-08-30
Comment: I have 2 kids and have owned many strollers in the past few years. The Pliko is by far my favorite. I didn't start out with this stroller, which was a huge mistake. My first stroller was a Combi that could attach any kind of carseat. It was great as a travel system (large basket), but it stunk as a regular stroller, it was way too big, hard to steer and the recline became difficult. My next was a stroller by Kolcraft. Great compact size, reclined ok, had kid's tray & parent tray, but the wheels were squeeky and soon became difficult to turn. Also, the padding could not be removed for cleaning. So after spending over $200 on less than great strollers, I finally got the Peg Perego. It steers well, folds compactly, easy to open, has a kid's tray, the fabric cleans up well and its great for my now two kids. The older one can ride on the back pedals. The only bummer is the basket, but I usually only put items in there that don't need constant access. I've sucessfully used this with my 1st 2 kids and will use it with my 3rd due in Feb. 05. I know many people balk at the high price, but I believe it can be a mistake to buy a cheaper stroller and end up replacing it many times.

Summary: Great for those who don't expect much from customer service 2004-08-07
Comment: In December of 2003, after spending a few weeks reviewing and "test driving" strollers for our first baby, I concluded that the Pliko P3 was the perfect stroller for us. In the store, the guy demonstrated it easily opening and closing, standing upright, etc. He also let me fold it up and lift it, and I did the same for a few other brands as well. I even tried out putting the infant car seat in and out, which was really easy in the store. Unfortunately, once there was an actual baby in the carrier, lining up those little clips was really a challenge. Good thing he outgrew his infant carseat so quickly, because he always cried while in it. Another expensive mistake...
The fact that it had a tiny cup holder and fairly small basket underneath didn't seem too important at that time. At that point, I started to looking around for the lowest price I could find, and found one online for around $50 less than BabiesRus.
We have now had the stroller for 7 months. From the beginning it was difficult to open and close, and it is not getting any easier to open and close (my husband still can't manage to close it without my help) and that tiny cupholder is really a drag when we are shopping because it is too small to hold even a medium-sized drink. And the basket underneath? I would suggest that you wear a backpack or bring someone along to hold your purchases, because there is only so much space for draping bags over the handles.
The worst point of irritation happened about a week ago when I discovered that the fabric was tearing under my son's feet. Upon closer examination, it looks like the seam wasn't sewn well, and so the fabric is fraying. I called Peg Perego's customer support and spoke to a woman who was less than helpful, and in fact, fairly rude. Because I hadn't mailed off my registration card, she told me that there wasn't anything she could do for me until I faxed her a copy of my receipt. Unfortunately, the $50 dollars that I saved by buying online invalidated their warranty because the seller was not an authorized dealer, so I will have to send them $50 for a replacement fabric cover.
Compared to my friend's Graco that has tons of space, is lightweight, folds with only one hand, and can hold a medium soda (for two people!), I think she made the better purchase.

Summary: Great system 2004-07-23
Comment: After researchin for months, we decided to get this travel system. If you want your child to be safe in the car and in the stroller, we recommend this stoller. It is study. The seat locks in safely. If it ever fell over, your child will stay in tacked and the roll bar will keep him from harm. It is a smooth easy ride. We walk a least 2 to 3 mile with this stoller and I must say it is a charm. Good luck.

Summary: BY FAR THE BEST STROLLER ON THE MARKET! 2004-07-14
Comment: AFTER PLANNING A TRIP TO DISNEY WORLD WHEN MY SON WOULD BE TURNING 7 MONTHS OLD, I REALISED THAT OUR GRACO TRAVEL SYSTEM JUST WOULD NOT DO!ALL THOUGH ROOMY ENOUGH AND COMFORTABLE FOR HIM, IT WAS DEFINATELY GOING TO BE A PROBLEM FOR US FOR THE FOLLWING REASONS: 1. IT WOULD TAKE UP TOO MUCH ROOM IN THE MINI VAN (4 ADULTS AND 1 CHILD WOULD BE TRAVELING) 2. IT WAS TOO HEAVY TO BE LUGGING IN AND OUT OF THE CAR AFTER SPENDING 6-10 HOURS AT THE THEMES PARKS, THEN TRYING TO LUG IT INTO THE HOTEL AFTER A LONG DAY 3. PLUS I WAS NOT COMFORTABLE WITH MY 7 MONTH OLD RIDING FACE FORWARD WITH ONLY THE LITTLE SEAT BELT IT COMES WITH AND HE IS ALSO SLIDING TO EITHER SIDE OF THE CARRIAGE STILL, AND THE CUSHION IS NOT VERY THICK, SO HE BANGS HIS HEAD ON THE METAL FRAME. AFTER SPENDING ALOT OF TIME ON LINE RESEARCHING ALL THE NEW LIGHT WEIGHT AND MEDIUM WEIGHT STROLLERS, COMPARING PRICES AND GOODIES THEY COME WITH, AND READING EVERYONES REVEIWS, I CAME TO THIS CONCLUSION: "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!" I WAS ORIGINALLY LOOKING AT THE METRO LITE AND THE QUATTRO..THANK GOD I WENT TO THE STORE TO ACTUALLY TEST THEM OUT..THE METRO LITE IS NOT EXPENSIVE BUT SMALL AND COMPACT BUT IF YOU LEAN TO HARD ON IT, IT FEELS LIKE ITS GOING TO BREAK! PLUS THERE IS NO BACK SUPPORT IN THE SEAT, FEELS LIKE A PIECE OF SEMI THICK CARDBOARD, NOT GOOD FOR A LONG DAY AT THE THEME PARKS! THE QUATTRO IS JUST AS BIG AS MY TRAVEL SYSTEM...SO WHY BOTHER? I DIDN'T WANT TO SPEND ALOT ON A SECOND STROLLER BUT YOU DEFINATELY SEE THE DIFFERENCE IN THE QUALITY, IT HAS BACK SUPPORT, 4 POSITION SEAT RECLINE, EASY FOLD AND UNFOLD, CUP HOLDER AND WATER BOTTLE HOLDER, LARGE BASKET, NICE MATERIAL, BIG SUN SHADE, FOLDS UP LIKE AN UMBRELLA STROLLER NOT LIKE THE TRAVEL SYS., VERY LIGHT, FITS IN OVER HEAD COMPARTMENT ON AIRPLANE AND IN SMALL TRUNKS, NICE WHEELS THAT LET YOU ROLL THE STROLLER WHILE FOLDED, SNACK TRAY THAT OPENS OUT AND A 5 POINT HARNESS, ADJUSTABLE HANDELS AND FOOT REST, CUSHIONS SO THICK IT HELD MY SON STRAIGHT INSTEAD OF FALLING OVER. THE ONLY DRAW BACK I FOUND WAS THE BARS UNDER THE SEAT PROHIBIT YOU FROM PUTTING ANY ONE LARGE ITEM IN THE BOTTOM, YOU CAN PUT A LOT OF ITEMS IN BUT NOT ONE BIG ITEM...THAT SHOULD BE IMPROVED UPON. LIKE MAYBE HAVING THESE BAGS ON SOME SORT OF ARMS THAT SLIDE OUT. BUT ALL IN ALL THIS WAS BY FAR THE BEST STOLLER ON THE MARKET TODAY AND I BABY TESTED THEM ALL IN THE STORE. AND IF YOUR NOT IMPRESSED WITH THE FACT THERE ARE NOT A LOT OF STORAGE COMPARTMENTS THEN PURCHASE THE ACCESSORY KIT FOR $12.00. IT HAS 4 S HOOKS, 2 COVERED SNACK CUPS, WATER BOTTLE HOLDER, CUP HOLDER, TOY BAG ETC.....LOVED THIS STROLLER!

Summary: BEWARE- If something goes wrong with your stroller 2004-06-20
Comment: We purchased our stroller somewhere other than Babies R US. Shortly after only using the stroller a couple of times we experienced difficulty opening the stroller. Something gets stuck approximately half the time. If I'm with my husband he will take it into the store and figure it out. Once while I was alone I just decided to go home and not go shopping. WARNING: Ask the store where you purchase your stroller if you will be able to return it to their store if something goes wrong. We had to deal directly with the manufacturer whose customer service was rude. WARNING #2: They noted the stroller needs to be lubricated each month. They informed us we'd have to pay shipping/hadling to have it looked at and possibly pay for labor/repair. Instead of investing more money on this stroller we are opting to perhaps purchase another stroller by a different maker. The stroller is GREAT when we can open it. Getting stuck 1/2 of the time is not acceptable leaving us with a beautiful, unreliable and inconvenient stroller.
