Summary: Smooth, comfy, great to steer, but bulky and toddler step can't be used with a full basket 2008-03-20
Comment: I bought this stroller based on reviews and how much I liked my used 1999 Peg Venezia for shopping and around the neighborhood. I don't know how the new Venezia's are, the reviews aren't so hot and they cost much more, but I think I prefer my old Venezia. The cons are that this model is bulkier when folded (takes up 2/3rds the space in the trunk of my full size sedan. The wheels are bigger, but maybe better since the smaller ones tend to shimmy at speed. The basket is just as big, but in order to use the toddler step you have to fold it up, which leaves very little room in your basket (I didn't expect this at all). It does stand up on it's own, but not very stable, a little nudge or stiff wind in the right direction will tip it over. I think I will miss the reversible handle too. Oh and don't lock in the cupholder until you know you want to keep it on because it sticks out when folded and is nearly impossible to remove once it's on.
The pros are that the fold is much better designed, it steers and maneuvers very easily, the fabric is excellent, it is plush and comfy, the suspension is great, the removable child tray/bumper bar is great, the straps don't get caught (although the shoulder harness is still strangely coming out from the waist strap). The handle is still height adjustable and the seat back reclines fully with the bassinet feature. The canopy is well designed, but if you have to bring it all the way down the fabric will block the view since there is no see through shade screen.
It's a nice cadillac stroller and is infant seat compatible. It's not light at 22 lbs (reportedly 18 lbs?), and disappointingly bulky. More pros than cons if you can get it for much less than the retail price of $300, I found mine for $150.

Summary: Very Satisfied!!! 2008-03-06
Comment: I love this stroller! I would not trade it for any other except my snap n go. The only complaint I have about this stroller is the cheap cup holder and it is big/heavy when folded up. Either way I wouldn't trade it for any other (except for my snap n go). I purchased it through Amazon at an amazing price which was way cheaper than purchasing at Babies 'r' Us. Thanks Amazon!!!

Summary: Love it! 2008-03-05
Comment: I love this stroller! It's loaded with features. Here are some features not advertised: the handle is adjustable, the leg area raises to enclose the seat area for a newborn, there is also a net to zip around the foot area to help enclose newborn. The seat is roomy. Very well designed, and I have owned many strollers. The only issue I have is that it really needs a parent organizer area. I sometimes like to eat and stroll and this doesn't have anything, like most other pegs. However, this is easily solved by purchasing one and adding it. Overall, great, easy to use stroller!!! Highly recommend!

Summary: Great Stroller for a great price! 2008-02-22
Comment: Peg Perego Centro Completo Full Size Stroller in Toffee
When our darling grandson (DGS) outgrew his SnugRide car seat, we had to begin the search for a new stroller to replace the Snap N Go we used with the car seat. I really liked the light weight and ease of use on the Snap N Go, so I was looking for something that would give me similar features. Most important was weight, size of basket, ease of steering, pushing, etc., for less than $200.00. (We may be the Grandparents, but we are not loaded, so price is a big factor!)
I really wanted a a Peg Perego P3, but the price, basket location, and size really put me off. I walked into a local store, and they the Peg Perego Centro Completo stroller on the floor, fully assembled. I put it through its paces in the store, and was tempted to buy it right then and there, but I knew I needed to do a bit more research on the weight of this stroller. So, I passed on picking it up right away, and went home to do my research. I found very little information on the web, and the weight information I DID find was a bit conflicting. I was able to determine that this model weighs 18 pounds, which was right where I needed it to be.
I returned the next day and they still had it on the floor, so I got it for $159.00 plus tax. Now I wish would have waited, cause Amazon has it for about the same price, with no tax and free shipping, so I could have saved another $15.00 or so.
We have used the stroller for the last few weeks, and have even taken it to the Chicago Auto Show. It has performed flawlessly, although the shuttle bus driver at the Auto Show tried to open it, and was not able to! (There is a little trick to it, but once you have it, it is easy!)
The basket is huge, and easy to access! If the basket is not too full, it even folds up under the seat so a 2nd passenger can ride on the rear footbar. This stroller features the "Freedom of Movement" harness. Right now, our 7 month old grandson is not too wiggly, but I can see where it would benefit a more active chiild.
Steering is a breeze, and it can be steered with one hand. The fold is easy, although it is NOT one handed. Unfolding it requires releasing the telescoping handle and giving it a little shake. There is a handle on the frame for carrying it while folded as well.
The stroller comes with a boot and rain cover. We have found the boot handy in our wild winter weather here in Ohio, and I suspect the rain cover could come in handy as well.
The canopy on this stroller is huge, and it folds completely over the seat, fully protecting a sleeping baby from the sun. The canopy also reverses, so you can use it as a pram with a smaller baby. The footrest and back rest are fully adjustable, which is nice for napping babies. I can also attest that the canopy held up great with 4 large adult winter coats thrown over it without sagging on the baby's head during the auto show!
So far, we are very pleased with this stroller. The only negatives I can say that it is not as compact as I would like, as it takes up a lot of space in the trunk. But then again, it is a full-featured stroller, so its size is full-featured as well. There is only one adult cup holder, and no parent tray, although there is a zippered compartment on the canopy for parent "stuff" like cell phones or wallets. There is a child tray, but no child cup holder, so that might be an issue for some people, but not for us, right now anyway.
Overall, I would give this a big thumbs up. Especially if you have a medium to large size trunk!

Summary: Very Pleased 2007-12-25
Comment: After looking at this stroller in the stores (it retails for $299), I found it on Amazon for $100 less. I decided on this stroller/brand based on the reviews of some close friends. I was thrilled to save the money, not have to pay for shipping, and to receive it in 3 days (the week before Christmas!) Since I'm due any day, my father had to help me put it together. The instructions from the manufacturer aren't that great, thus there were a few things that we couldn't figure out. BUT, we called the 1-800 # (on Christmas eve) and the customer service agent helped us within 2 minutes! Once we got it all together, it was perfect. While this is the bigger Peg Perego stroller, it was still easy to open/fold up. It is a nice sturdy stroller, which makes a first time mother feel good! I would definately recommend this product...and especially recommend buying it from Amazon (I think the seller was HappyMother).
