Summary: Orbit Baby Good but Not as Good as Everyone Says... 2008-12-06
Comment: My daughter is 13 weeks old and has used the Orbit Baby since birth, and today, she's a very average size for her age. ike everyone else, I did my research to decide between the Bugaboo, Stokke and Orbit. I chose the Orbit particularly because of the ease of breaking down since we live up and down stairs, but also because it is the ideal travel buggy for flying.
For both these points, the Orbit is wonderful, and I'm glad I chose it, because the other two options would not have withstood my immediate prerequisites.
But, there is a major down point here which I'm surprised has not been raised in other reviews - the Orbit infant seat is a very deep and rather narrow seat which makes it constricted for babies to move.
Putting my baby girl in winter gear warm enough to survive a Northeast winter along with a fleecey footmuff is nearly impossible - she simply does not fit because her shoulders become too wide with all the padding from the clothes. It's no wonder Orbit is the only stroller company that has not come out with it's own footmuff because it's so obvious that it further limits the already rather small size of the infant seat.
Try typing Orbit Baby in google images to see pictures of babies in winter gear posted on the web - there aren't any! I went through practically 20 pages before giving up. My conclusion is that the Orbit Baby is best for California-weather babies where fleeces, blankets, and sweaters aren't necessary.
My other negative about the Orbit Baby is that the carseat hub is BIG. We drive a Saab sedan and it JUST fits but even when the infant seat is placed in the hub, it's difficult to see over the hood when put down. It fits fine when it's in one of the deep seats without the hub but then again, this safety feature is one of its biggest selling points. The hub doesn't fit correctly in the deep seats of the backseat, only the middle seat.
So, all in all, Orbit Baby is certainly unique, wonderful in being able to rotate the hub, break down in two easily (though not sure yet how easy this will be with the toddler seat), and I have flown with the infant seat, used in both the airline seat as well as put above in the bulhead luggage space (yes, it fits), BUT, comfort for my baby girl is really the first priority, and this is where I feel she is compromised most.

Summary: super functional transformer stroller 2008-12-03
Comment: I'm one of those fathers who loves to geek out on all the baby gear that's out there. I read more reviews about more strollers than I care to repeat. After much deliberation, and a bit of trepidation, I decided on the Orbit system. It was a great decision. It's an amazingly well designed stroller that grows with your child saving your home the clutter of multiple strollers. Our little guy used the bassinet as his first bed, it's flown internationally with it many times, we even use it as our jogging stroller. The rotating base comes in handy way more than you would ever think, the way the base collapses is quick and easy, and the fact that you can let your child sleep when you need to leave the car is HUGE. Sure you can get attachments for other strollers that let you do this but something about how quick, easy and versatile they have made the whole system, it totally outshines those other options. It's a stroller that will surprise you with it's functionality. They also happen to have the BEST customer service that I have ever encountered. Everyone that I have spoken with at the company has been quick to respond and even quicker with their follow through. Great company, great stroller.

Summary: NO COMPARISON 2008-11-11
Comment: This is the best stroller and carseat combo. So many of my friends warned me about purchasing a carseat stroller combo because of the bulk of most systems, but this is the exception. Not only is the carseat and stroller lightweight but the stroller folds up pretty small and easily fits in my trunk with plenty of room to spare. A busy mom will appreciate the flexible handle of the carseat and ease of the swivel feature when you have you hands full with other kids, groceries, etc.
The only downside is it is long and does require the front seat to be pushed forward making it almost unusable. I have an E class mercedes. But if another adult needs to be in the car they just sit in back, which no one minds sitting with the baby.
I would recommend this seat to everyone. My child loves being in this seat, he hates being in his other carseat in dad's car, making it easy to get him to fall asleep on a car ride! You really can not fully appreciate the system until you use it on a daily basis.

Summary: Worth the money 2008-06-01
Comment: We don't have a car and live in an urban area. We needed a stroller that would be easy to use on subways and buses. We looked at lots of them and we are so happy this is the one we chose. It's so easy to put up and down, the 360 rotation is incredibly useful, and it's narrow enough to roll down the aisles of buses and subways where other people struggle with their wider bulky strollers. It's light and easy to carry. And it looks great. People stop us all the time to ask us about it. Highly recommend this even though it's expensive - it's totally worth it.

Comment: Depending on which new car you have to buy to fit the car seat in. This thing is HUGE !!!!
I have a midsized car (a BMW 3 series). The car seat will not fit behind the seat and so can only be installed in the middle, which is fine for me as this is the reccomended position and I don't particularly need the benifits of the easy load/unload. But then the leftover space is tiny. You MIGHT be able to SQUEEZE a small child in beside the seat. So it basicaly drops my car down to a 2 seater.
My wife has an Audi STATIONWAGON and with the seat installed behind the passenger side, even she cannot fit in the front passenger side (she's 5'6 and weight about 140). Installing it in the middle defeats the entire benifit of being able to easily load the seat and turn it.
It amazes me that a company that lauds itself as eco-friendly would design a system that requires a gas burning SUV or at least a large sedan to function in a convienient way.
I have no problem with the system itself in terms of looks or as a stroller, But for the price, I would expect a little more thought in the design. It looses most of the convenience, which is the reason we bought it over the bugaboo. If I were to do it again I would get the Zappy.
I am very worried that the toddler car seat will not even fit into the car, again, making a $[...] system useless after the infant stage
