'Universal' it is NOT - doesn't fit Techno XT,

This review is from: Maclaren Universal Footmuff (Baby Product)
I bought the so-called 'universal' footmuff for my Techno XT, but there is no way to attach it securely. Since I"d washed it on arrival, I couldn't send it back. I contacted Maclaren, who have so far sent me some nonsense email about how it it's designed to be attached with the 5-point harness rather than with poppers...no, it is not! There is only 1 slot near the bottom, no other holes for the harness..and it does have 2 poppers on each side. But on this stroller, there is no way to attach even one of these poppers..so it's unusable. Now I've learned from other parents that the 'Bundle me' by JJCole is the thing to use instead. BIG waste of money.

We have the Maclaren Triumph, this footmuff works perfectly with it. You can still fold up the stroller with it attached. Before we got it we were covering our 11 month old with a thick blanket, which always seemed to drag on the street and get filthy. The footmuff is like a sleeping bag, but the straps go through the back of the muff to keep her secure. I like how the top cover can be completely unzipped off when you are in a rush and its too warm to cover the child up.
It does get dirty on the bottom from puddles and the wheels. But thats why I like the navy color - it doesn't show that much. It washes up well too. I wash in cold and line dry.

I have the Maclaren Quest and I think the instructions for the Maclaren Universal Footmuff are not clear on how to remove the shoulder straps from the waist straps. I ended up doing a search on Google, where I found out that where the shoulder straps meet the waist straps, you can slide the shoulder straps clear under the plastic. On closer inspection you can see that the plastic can be lifted. Its not easy to do, I used a non sharp knife to lever it a bit to get the shoulder straps out. Hope the tip helps anybody else who is having trouble!!!
