Given the huge competition the Twin Techo now faces from other brands and types of strollers, I'll just say it's a good everyday errand stroller for twins.THE PROS * Very easy to maneuver * Excellent for city use - handles curbs and rainy weather easily * Fits through most exterior doors but not all indoor ones (doctor's offices are especially difficult) * Short length and small footprint makes it suitable for indoor use (restaurants, malls) * Relatively lightweight for a double at 27 lbs., but hardly easy to carry * Somewhat compact when folded but very long (44") - measure your trunk, it may not fit! * Side handle distributes weight well * High weight capacity * Water resistant fabric on the hood * Excellent quality rain hood secures tightly to top, sides, and bottom; great for windy weather too. * The black on black color is...Read more 14 of 15 people found the following review helpful: This review is from: Maclaren Twin Techno Stroller (Baby Product) I bought this stroller after nearly a year of struggling with my larger Loola stroller system. I needed something that was compact, lighter, super comfortable for my twins, a great safety harness, with good storage, cup holders, sun and rain protection, manuverability, and fully reclinable into little beds since my twins like to sleep on outtings. I got all of this and more with the Maclaren Twin Techno.
And all of the ads, websites, and materials I reviewed before buying said that this stroller would pass easily through any standard doorway. I didn't believe it until I saw it for myself! It does! I just visited the pediatrician last evening, the ultimate test as the building she is in was built in the 1700's. It went right it! My husband and I just looked at each other in shock! The only drawback that I would say this stroller has is that the...Read more 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful: This review is from: Maclaren Twin Techno Stroller, Black On Black Frame (Baby Product) I bought the Maclaren twin techno double stroller because I wanted my double stroller to be as narrow and compact as possible, as I hate lugging around a huge over-sized stroller (especially when shopping) and I found this stroller to be much narrower than other double strollers. Up until now, I've been using the Maclaren Techno Single Stroller for 5 years and have been extremely happy with it, so I assumed the double stroller would be similar to that one. Boy was I wrong! Being compact was just about the only advantage of this stroller. I find it extremely difficult to open up, especially unclicking the sides. It's not a smooth push at all, the wheels are on the small side and don't handle bumps very well. The handles aren't adjustable so you can't make them higher if you are taller. I find myself stepping on the back, middle wheel from time to time. It takes time to get used to the seat belts. In the beginning, trying to get them to click in was so frustrating. I'm starting to get...Read more |
