Summary: Decent Price--Not the Best in Quality 2008-05-26
Comment: I have read good reviews about Inglesina doubles on various message boards so I purchased the Twin Swift without much hesitation. My previous double was a Maclaren Twin Techno, which I liked--until one of the legs broke on me while my husband was closing it. At first, I liked this stroller for its colorful design, the third "middle" handle and somewhat satisfactory ride. Well, as I continued to use it for my daughters 3 and 1 1/2, I realized that the quality does not compare to that of a Maclaren and I'm currently shopping for another Maclaren double in less than a year of purchasing the Twin Swift.
First of all, the hood continues to pop up in all sorts of funny position, which is extremely annoying when pushing two toddlers and the basket underneath is so flimsy that it looks like it'll tear in any minute. The worst part of it all is that when the stroller is folded, the dirt on the wheels rub off on the inner part of the canopy which becomes totally noticeable when it is not in use. I like to keep things clean and it really bothers me that the design of this stroller makes it impossible to keep the canopy clean. And I'm not talking about a slight stain or smudge--I'm talking about permanent dirt stains and marks all over my canopy.
To top it off, the front left wheel does not move much anymore which makes it extremely difficult for me to push the stroller. Considering the fact that both of my girls are petite (around 5% percentile in both height and weight), this stroller is not very durable or sturdy. I originally believed that the Maclaren doubles were too heavy, but now I understand why they are made to be around 26lbs...so that it can handle the different weights of not one, but TWO children.
While I like its design and the middle handle (a feature I really hope Maclarens can include), I am overall disappointed with the durability, quality, and functionality of Inglesina Twin Swifts. I'm sure Inglesina's single stroller lines are great, but I encourage other parents to think twice before purchasing this stroller after hearing good reviews from other parents on various message boards.

Summary: hood 2007-08-29
Comment: After one month of using the Inglesina stroller, the right hood cover has been bent. In the folded position, the hood supports have been pressed in and therefore has caused the hood to malfunction. It is out of shape and is difficult to get back to its original shape. Other than that, I have found no other problems. This double stroller rides nicely and gets through standard widths.
