I found the Swift online and purchased it based on the product specs for weight and handle height. It met all of my criteria!
I really enjoyed it at first, but the longer I've had it, the wheels stick and I have trouble getting it to go in the direction I want. I've edited my review - it was really great at first, but it is too difficult to maneuver now. 7 of 8 people found the following review helpful: By Suzanne (New York, NY) - See all my reviews This review is from: Inglesina Swift Stroller (Baby Product) After reading numerous good reviews, we bought the Inglesina Swift for our then-16-month-old daughter. I wish we'd saved the receipt. This stroller does not handle well. We use it daily in NYC, and it's annoying to navigate through any smaller space. You must push with both hands and are constantly correcting the stroller's direction as the wheels seem to have a mind of their own. Shopping with this stroller is pretty much impossible.
Also, our daughter is tall for her age (now 18 months), and she already is nearing this stroller's limits: the top shoulder strap height isn't very high, and the seat is very short, so if she's wearing her winter gear, she sort of slides right out of the stroller. I can tell that she won't fit this poorly designed stroller a year from now, which is too bad b/c in NYC you do a lot of walking with your toddler. There are some pros: it's lightweight (good for carrying up subway stairs), cute, easy to fold, and the reclining...Read more 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: Inglesina Swift Stroller (Baby Product) This is the perfect light stroller for the city without spending over $200 on a third stroller. PROS: -The shoulder straps are removable so you do not need to use the 5-point harness for grownups. -You can put a bag underneath instead of hanging on the back and tipping it over. -The handle height is higher than other comparable models so you are less hunched over. (Great for tall parents) -You can walk a good pace without kicking the stroller. -Easy to fold & compact for the subway, transfer, go up and down the stairs. -The swiveling front wheels are individually lockable and are larger than other light strollers so it is easier to push over rugged terrain. CONS: -No cup holder. -The basket underneath can only hold a small diaper bag. |
