This stroller is sturdy and the pattern is cute for a boy or a girl. The convertible five point harness is a little difficult when our baby is wiggling. It might be better with some sort of pressure snap to keep the top and bottom portions together but it definitely does the job. We have a hefty 4 mo old and she is very secure in the harness. The stroller is a reasonable weight; I carry it between the second floor with no trouble. Sometimes I have trouble folding it but that is because I forget to align the wheels, so watch that and don't get frustrated when you're in a hurry.

I have three sons, and have always had multiple strollers: an umbrella stroller for quick trips; a jog stroller for walking in the woods (or, theoretically, jogging); and a serious travel system for going to the mall. I didn't care about folding size, storage space, etc.
When our youngest son was two we moved to Europe for seven months, and I knew we could only bring a single stroller with me. I needed something light enough that I could carry it up and down bus steps and up to our apartment. I needed something that folded relatively small so it would fit in a tiny European car. I needed something with good storage room underneath so I could store three kids' stuff. I needed something with big wheels for bouncing on cobblestone streets or going offroad. In other words, I needed one stroller that could replace my three at home.
I looked at multiple strollers, including much more expensive ones, and picked this one because:

I bought the metrolite when my son (now 18 months) was born. He has never liked to ride in it. I thought that it was just because he preferred to be carried (we are regular baby-wearers), but I recently bought an umbrella stroller and he is much happier in it. When he is in the metrolite he has trouble looking around because the arms and the tray are so high that they block his view. Also, the seat is permanently in a semi-reclined position which just doesn't flow with my get-up-and-go-go-go boy. It is difficult to fold and unfold - definitely takes two hands, and it takes up almost the entire trunk of my corolla.
