Summary: Good for the 1st year, but after that I don't recommend this stroller. 2008-07-28
Comment: Yes, this had a good review last 2007, but I highly don't recommend this stroller to new parents. At first, since my baby weighed 7 lbs when she was born, maneuvering this stroller was very easy until she weighed 20 lbs when she turned 1. Not only that, the basket underneath would be hitting the wheels every time I added a thin blanket & a couple of jeans or anything that weighed slightly heavy. The wheels gave me problems when I needed to turn it. It felt like I was making a slight detour when something extra was being added in that small basket. It worked well when I didn't have anything in it. So I ended up buying those hooks you connect on the handles so I could get some help carrying my stuff when I shop around. The only thing I liked about this stroller is that i can have the baby face away from the sun without putting any extra blanket over the stroller. I also liked this stroller because the baby can face me and we'd see each other while I'm in a long line at the grocery store or library. Being bulky is acceptable for us because we have a van. But if you have a small car, it will take over the whole space in your car. Pls. research more on a better stroller than this. Good luck!

Summary: We like it... 2008-02-07
Comment: Well, I wanted to chime in and give a good review of the bumbleride flyer. We purchased for our first born and have not been too terribly disappointed. Like others, we could not justify the $$$$ of the Bugaboo (esp. considering it's made it Taiwan, not like it's made in Europe or US), but wanted something cooler/better than Graco or the like.
I've never had another stroller, so I don't have something else to compare it with, but even with that said, we've had a relatively postive experience with the Flyer, so wanted to share.
I wish it had the option to have 2 cup holders, instead of just one and a bit of a larger basket below the seat, but it is still spacious enough. I do have to agree with other reviewer, that it sometimes doesn't latch shut when you fold it down and it can be difficult to get up on the curb, but you just have to finagle it a bit. So those would probably be my 2 complaints of the stroller(and why I didn't give a 5 star review). Other than that, we really enjoy the stroller and have had no real "issues" with it. It rolls just fine for us in our neighborhood, at the mall and in the park on the gravel path. It does stear much better in the forward facing position, but having the option to switch the handle around so you can face your baby can be a life saver. I've been out with our daughter and she was fine facing out for half the walk, but on the way back she's gotten upset and having the option to switch and see her has helped calm her down. If I hadn't had that option, she would have screamed all the way home.
I'm sure the Bugaboo probably is a bit better than the Flyer, especially in a big city setting, but I can't see how it could possibly be $1000 better! That's just us though.

Summary: Looks aren't everything 2007-12-12
Comment: I received the 2006 model of this stroller for my baby shower. I has read good reviews on it and thought it was more attractive than your run-of-the-mill Graco stroller, and less expensive than the trendy Bugaboo. I am so dissappointed with the quality of this stroller, however. The main problem I have with it is that no matter what I do this stroller veers to the left when strolling. This make the stroller IMPOSSIBLE to use. I literally have used this stoller less than 5 times and I've had it for a year. Everytime I try to use it I get so frusterated that I want to just throw the stroller away. Please do not waste your money on this product.

Summary: regret 2007-07-04
Comment: After hearing everyone talk about this stroller, my wife and I went and tested at a local baby store. We we're excited, and so we ended up buying this stroller for our first born son. Wow, it turned out to be a huge mistake. After 3 months, we ended giving it to the salvation army and buying a Bugaboo Frog instead.

The reason we bought it was like everyone else. We kept asking ourselves is the bugaboo really worth that cost? Our intial answer was no, we didn't think the Bugaboo was worht the cost, so that lead us to the Bumbleride. But after our frustration with the bumbleride, I have to say that I now regret our inital decision. Buying the Bumbleride was money wasted.

Pros: One, it's big, so you can put lots of things in the basket and when using it with the car seat, the empty space in the basinet can hold more things. Two, the cost was less than the Bugaboo. Three, looks better than Graco or any of those at that level.

Cons: 1. one of our wheels makes a noise. 2. easy to steer without baby in it, but hard to steer with added weight. 3. Too large for city use, very cumbersome to navigate around easily. 4. Even when folded, is way too large. 5. Wheel lock is not so great, you always need to check to see that it's in the correct position or you'll have a hard time with steering. 6. Wheels doesn't roll well on smooth surfaces such as wood floors. 7. Becuase of how cumbersome this contraption is, to go backwards is an ordeal. Yes you can flip the handle, but it doesn't roll well in that postion! and if you need to make that 360 degree turn, it's going to be a wide turn! 8. the fram after 3 months of use has already started to be loose. Our nanny must think we're bad parents for buying this. 9. oh I almost forgot to add, when you encunter a street curb, the way that the Bunbleride was designed was a good but also a bad thing. The design gives it a very secure center of gravity so it won't tip over easily, but on the other hand the design makes it very hard to push down on the handle to lift the front end onto the street curb!

Oh, during the time that we are waiting the arrival of the Bugaboo, we just went out to buy the Maclaren Easy Traveler Stroller . For the cost and simplicity, it's still a much better stroller than the Bumbleride Flyer.
