Dreambaby Stroller Fan

I bought this to clip on the stroller for the summer walks because it is so dang muggy here in Baltimore. I thought the little one needed a guaranteed breeze. This little unit fills the bill. Battery consumption is good. Two AA batteries last at least 2 weeks with 3-4 15-20 minute strolls per day. The clip holds well and has rubberized strips in the jaw to assist grip. The fan puts out enough air that you can feel a gentle breeze next to the baby's face if you mount the fan at the push-handle of the stroller. I don't think I would want much more air as it could be uncomfortable for the duration of a stroll. I expected the gooseneck to be one of those that fights you when you try to position it, but this has not been the case. The fan blades are foam and do not cause discomfort if you put your finger in. The fan is great, powerful and safe for my childs fingers. Keeps him very cool in the stroller on those hot sweltering days. I wanted to give this product a 5-star review but the led lights are an ADD inducing nightmare. I don't understand their purpose at all as the fan will be but a foot from your childs face and to subject them to the hyper dizzying light show for hours on end seems abusive. You will have to take the fan apart to get to the two watch batteries that power the light show. Remove them and you'll have yourself a great little fan.

I bought two of these to take on our trip to Disney World in April 2010 knowing how muggy Orlando can get in the spring and summer. Both my 8 month old and my 4 1/2 year old LOVED them. The baby could play with it when it was on, and it kept her cool and entertained while she was in the stroller. It also was a great help when she fell asleep in the stroller since it kept her comfortable. The 4 1/2 year old loved hers too, but more often than not carried it around with her instead of attaching it to the stroller. My husband did drop one on the asphalt, and while it knocked the LEDs for a bit of a loop, it continued to work as a fan perfectly (and eventually the lights started working again). I can see where the lights would freak out an adult a bit, but our kids loved them and were fascinated. They're not that hard to disconnect if they really bother you.
