This review is from: Combi Flex Lightweight Full-Sized Tri-fold Stroller in Black/Wasabi (Baby Product) I spent hours researching online to find a stroller that was lightweight but still offered the benefits of a full-size stroller, namely a snack tray and at least some storage space. We already had a little Kolcraft umbrella stroller for the car but I wanted something less cumbersome than my Graco Vienna to keep in the house for strolls around the neighborhood.
While I can't do a full-scale Trader Joe's run with this stroller the way I could with my old Graco, this one is about half the weight and that's especially noticeable when pushing my toddler uphill. I also love the idea of the carry strap--I haven't used it yet but if we go on a bus anywhere it will make the trip even easier. There are a few downsides (I think every stroller has some), but I am very pleased with my choice and would recommend this stroller highly. Pros: - really lightweight! - seat fabric is soft and well-padded (much nicer than most strollers), my son loves sitting in it...Read more 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: Combi Flex Lightweight Full-Sized Tri-fold Stroller (Baby Product) After looking for an eternity for the "right" light weight stroller, I was ready to give up when I accidentally came across the Combi Flex. I bought it without even trying it out in stores and I am so glad I did! I love almost everything about it! It's SUPER light weight and folds down in half and then half again! It will hold a child up to 55lbs despite it being a light weight stroller. Although I know my child will out grow using a stroller before she's anywhere near that limit. That said, there are a few things I wish were better. The canopy needs to be larger and the seat back would be excellent if it sat more upright. Also, if you are a taller person, say 5'8 or taller, it might feel a bit short. Other than that, I think it's perfect! I does take some time to get used to a Combi stroller. A lot of people may say it feels cheap, or not sturdy, but it's the tri-fold design that makes it seem this way. Beacause it folds down twice, there are more joints in this stroller than others...Read more 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: Combi Flex Lightweight Full-Sized Tri-fold Stroller (Baby Product) Bought this when my son was about 4 mos old and now he's almost 3 years old. Already had a travel system, which I loved and continue to use, but it was not convenient for the babysitter because it was too bulky. She needed something smaller and more lightweight. So we bought this, excited because it seemed like it would be useful for many, many years. It has failed us, but it really did seem great at first.
PROS Folds small, which is great for my small car Seemed very lightweight (compared to my larger Travel System stroller) Stands alone very nicely when folded Carryon strap looked very convenient for public transport Got it half price at Babies R Us. Maybe it was a floor model, don't recall why. CONS It's not that lightweight. And so when you carry it on your shoulder, OUCH. Mesh basket not durable. Broke within a few months! (Note: MacLaren umbrella stroller storage much more durable) Nowhere, other than...Read more |
