Summary: LOVE IT! 2004-08-08
Comment: I bought this in red (from another internet store) and I absolutely love it. I was debating between the BOB and the Dreamer Design, but ultimately decided on the BOB and I'm glad I did. The stroller is really light -- one of the lightest joggers on the market. It is very easy to fold up (and the wheels are really simple to remove for added compactness). I LOVE the canopy, which is very large and has a great overhang to block the sun from baby's eyes. The suspension is fabulous and unlike other joggers, there are no uncomfortable bars or supports at the back so that baby sits up high on the suspension and is held in a hammock-style seat. My 2 1/2-month old loves the hammock feel of the ride and prefers her jogger to her regular stroller. The storage on this stroller is great. There is a generous basket underneath, a large pocket on the back of the seat and two mesh pockets inside for bottles, binkies, toys, etc. There also is a cup console that can be purchased separately (I highly recommend this). With the heat/sun shield (sold separately), my baby stays cool and is protected from the sun while still enjoying the view. I'm not a serious runner so I bought the BOB with the polymer wheels (rather than the spoke wheels on the Deluxe version), which the BOB website suggested would be better for beach use. The polymer wheels add 6 ounces to the weight, but that really is only important if you're serious about running in races. I haven't noticed any other difference.
I chose the BOB over the Dreamer Design Rebound for the following reasons: the Dreamer Design is several pounds heavier. The Dreamer Design hood does not stay fully extended because of the unique shape and pivoting feature. The dreamer design hood pivots to protect against the setting or rising sun, but I found that with the heat and sun shield in place on the BOB and with the generous overhang on the BOB hood, I did not miss the pivote feature. I liked the generous suspension on the BOB better than the Dreamer Design. The BOB is simpler to fold. The BOB has a better recline, which is important since my little one is not ready to sit upright on her own just yet. The Dreamer Design has an easy-to-adjust harness system, but the harness runs up the middle of the seat back so that it looks lumpy and uncomfortable for the baby. The BOB on the other hand has a padded seat back that my baby just loves.
One last note, shop the internet for the BOB -- there are some great deals out there that include free (and FAST) shipping, colors that aren't available elsewhere and some accessories.
