5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Jogging/Running Stroller, July 16, 2011

Before I bought the Ironman, I tried a less expensive running stroller (Kelty speedster) and was very disappointed. It was a little difficult to unfold and had some sharp edges and finger pinching hazards on some of the parts. Worst of all it pulled very hard to the right when jogging and despite a badly-designed front-wheel alignment adjustment, it could not be corrected. After having it veer into bicycle and car traffic a couple times, I returned it for a refund.
My only reservation in buying the Ironman was that I'd read that the handlebar could not be adjusted for height. I'm 6' 3" so I thought this would be an important feature. I bought it anyway, and it's been amazing:

The handlebar height is fine for both me and my wife (she's much shorter than I am)
The front wheel alignment adjustment is very effective - it was very easy to get it rolling perfectly straight
I can unfold it easily with one arm.
Lightweight - we live in a 2nd floor walk-up...Read more

I'm very happy with the Ironman. You can see it's a well built stroller and know it will last through the years. It's definitely used only for jogging/running though. Use while walking is difficult since the front tire does not swivel. But you will get used to picking up the front tire and setting it down when angling to turn. Even if you drop the front tire it doesn't rattle the baby. When running, its easy to give it a knudge to curve a certain direction; and the faster you go, the easier it is to curve.

My daughter is 5 months and fits well in the seat and 5 point harness. The seat does not angle up to 90 degrees and does not completely recline flat. But it has a comfortable lean to it. Well at least it looks like it does.

The canopy has great coverage. My infant very rarely gets the sun in her eyes (even in the evenings) and still allows a great view of the road ahead. It might be my favorite feature.

Sometimes it needs alignment (probably because...Read more

If you are looking for a stroller that rides smoothly while running longer distances this is for you. The stroller does not turn easy at all, so if you are going around corners that are sharp or planning to use it for a day at the zoo as well this is not for you. I run in neighborhoods, around lakes and straight paths with minimal turns. I had to take the time to adjust the alignment so that the stroller would roll straight. Once I did that I had no problems going in a circle loop. The stroller will turn if you put pressure on one side of the stroller. For example, if I am slightly turning to my left I am putting pressure on the right side of the stroller and it will turn enough to stay on the path without struggling. For as large as the stroller is it folds up nicely, but it is still a little awkward to fold up and pack in the car mainly because of the wheel size. There is great space at the bottom of the stroller. When hooking up a car seat adapter the top of the canopy...Read more
