I don't know why the earlier models didn't come with these, but they should've been standard! If not standard, they should've sent every Baby Jogger customer one or two for free when they upgraded! It was a pain to get in the backs of my double and I got major scrapes to my cuticles, but they're absolutely worth it! As soon as I put my kids in, we noticed a tremendous difference! They looked and felt more comfortable! If you have a older model Baby Jogger City Mini Stroller, YOU MUST GET THIS!
Terribly expensive for cheap plastic,

I love Baby Jogger strollers, I have the City Elite and City Micro. Great strollers, but it is absolutely annoying that nothing comes standard on the strollers. This is an example of something that is needed and should have come with the strollers. Very over priced for cheap plastic inserts. Baby Jogger advertises that they are making this a standard item, but I have the 2011 City Elite and it was not standard with this stroller.

I have a double baby jogger city mini and I think this should be standard in all the baby joggers. I apparently have an older version that doesn't include these boards. It made it so much more comfortable for my little ones. They're not sitting hunched in the stroller anymore. It gives them a much needed back support. It was easy to put in.
