Summary: Exactly what I needed - great for moving quickly and lightly on my commute 2007-09-24
Comment: I purchased this travel system after checking out the stroller in Babies-R-Us. Previously we had an Evenflo embrace car seat and a fancy fold up pram-type stroller that converted to a full size. I like to be mobile. We live in an urban environment and I like to use public transportation as much as possible. This travel system is a dream. I can get on and off the bus with the baby, my own bag, and the stroller strapped to my shoulder (no joke) and I'm definitely not a super fit person.
Pros: the stroller is lightweight yet doesn't sacrifice features. It folds up to a very small size VERY quickly and easily (extremely intuitive design). Also, it fully reclines for little ones and for napping. The car seat sun shade moves easily (great when you only have one hand to reach into the back seat.
Cons: the buttons to adjust the car seat handle sometimes stick. Also, I the harness can get twisted, though it's easy to fix. As for the stroller, I only wish it had all-terrain wheels but for the price, it's great!
In comparing the car seat to the Evenflo, I'd prefer the latter because it was just easier to use. However, unlike some other reviewers on the Babies-R-Us website, I did not find it any heavier than the Evenflo or more difficult to carry even accounting for the patented Evenflo handle. However, the Evenflo travel system is bulky, heavy, and (I think) extremely unattractive. I've even looked at the higher end strollers (e.g. Bugaboo and Quinny) and while they are very sturdy and nice looking, they don't hold a candle to this travel system as far as portability is concerned. If you need a stroller that fully reclines but that you can also fold up to a very small size, this one is for you.
